Turl basic chess board

The Turl basic chess board from Engelhart is a no-frills 40 cm board that does exactly what a chess board needs to do. Turn it over and you get a 10 x 10 grid on the reverse, the layout used for international draughts, so one board covers two games. It is a good first board for beginners, schools and clubs, and an easy way to give a loose set of Staunton pieces a proper home. Key details: • Size: 40 x 40 cm (15.75") • Double sided: 8 x 8 chess grid on one face, 10 x 10 squares on the reverse • Recommended pieces: Staunton chessmen with a king base diameter of 20 - 25 mm • Packaging: plastic wrapped • Pieces not included • Brand: Engelhart Set your Staunton pieces out on the 8 x 8 side for a standard game, or flip the board for a 10 x 10 draughts match.
